Installing Firefox on Windows 10

The following is a guide to installing Firefox on Windows 10. Click on the images to enlarge them.

Launch the default browser Microsoft Edge and go to firefox.com. You should see a web page that looks like this. Click on the download button to download Mozilla Firefox.

To go to the download folder, look at the start bar and click on the folder icon.

Clicking on the folder icon will open up the File Explorer window. Click on the folder called Downloads. The selection is in the upper left corner of the screen.

A “Open File – Security Warning” window will appear. Click on the “Run” button to launch the installer for Mozilla Firefox.

A “User Access Control” window will appear. Click “Yes” to give the installer for Firefox permission to run.

The Mozilla Firefox setup program will now finally appear. Click on the “Install” button to install Firefox.

Firefox will now begin downloading the files the program needs to install the browser.

After the installation is complete and Firefox runs the first time. You will be prompted to decide if you want to make Firefox your default browser. If you choose to make Firefox as your default browser. The following screen will appear.

The “Default apps” window will appear. Scroll to the bottom until you see “Web browser” and click on it. Select Firefox from the selection to make it your default app for surfing the web.

After you have completed all these steps. Mozilla Firefox should be up and running on Windows 10.
